There were several D1 college coaches in attendance at a 7v7 passing tournament at Gardena Serra High last week. Narbonne and Culver City joined host Serra, who was without standouts Adoree' Jackson and Dwight Williams.

The Serra offense was directed by returning starter and Boise State commit Jalen Greene. With receivers like Jordan Lasley and Greg Webb in the mix, Greene will have plenty of weapons at his disposal. The Cavaliers offense is certainly in good hands under Greene's stewardship.

Stringing together a balanced team effort with contributions up and down the lineup, the Serra Cavaliers, maintaining a decent 5-0 advantage after six innings, were far from done, manufacturing an additional five run insurance buffer in the top of the seventh en route to routing Diamond Bar 10-2 and earning a business trip to Dodger Stadium this Friday afternoon for the CIFSS division III championship.

Day Two at Steve Clarkson Quarterback Retreat at Coronado High in San Diego provided the talented quarterbacks the opportunity to build on the experience and knowledge gleaned from Day One.

Once again, the weather conditions were optimal for Steve Clarkson and his quality team of instructors to teach the young signal callers the skills and techniques necessary to be a successful quarterback.

If you haven't heard of 2015 CB Shaun Crawford out of Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward yet, you're going to in the near future. The 5'9", 165 lbs. athlete has been picking up quite a lot of interest lately and boasts offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Florida St., Illinois, Iowa, Miami (Fl.), Michigan St., Northwestern, Penn State, Tennessee and his two latest from Michigan and West Virginia.

Crawford has a lot of schools that like him and some that he really likes, but he's enjoying the process and waiting on another offer still. "It's pretty cool. Just waiting on the Trojans."
