Here's a list of 2013 summer football camps in California, where student-athletes can hone their skills before the start of the season. Many of these camps are taught by former and current professional and college coaches.
Dwight Williams is a known player. He’s got all the skills that you want in a linebacker for a program and his offer list is proof of that. He’s worked hard to build up on an impressive list, but now the Gardena Serra (Calif.) athlete is breaking things down a bit.
He talked to us about his recruitment.
Who was his first offer? “My first offer was Colorado.”
The Salesian Mustangs are stocked with D1 bound talent in 2014. Notre Dame assistant coach Mike Denbrock was on hand observing the Mustangs practice. Leading the way for Salesian are hard hitting linebacker Jamardre Cobb and versatile athlete Marquis Ware. Both standouts have already reeled in several offers and should receive more in the future. Safety Kyavha Tezino recently landed an offer from UCLA, adding to a growing list for the talented 2015 defensive back.

The state champion Gardena Serra Cavaliers football team began spring practice Tuesday. There were several college coaches in attendance to observe the talent laden Cavaliers in action.
Serra receiver Jordan Lasley has been busy in recent weeks balling out on the 7v7 circuit. Coach Shah from Utah was impressed enough with Lasley's skills to offer the 2014 wideout a scholarship this afternoon.
The talented B2G 5 Star squad took home the IMG 7v7 West Regional title Sunday at Fullerton College. The team is loaded with D1 bound student athletes from the SoCal area.
B2G 5 Star captured the IMG 7v7 West Regional crown at Fullerton College on Sunday, defeating Body By Tra in the championship game and finishing the tournament 8-0. With the victory, B2G 5 Star advances to the National Championship tournament in Bradenton, FL in June.
Arizona State likes what they see in 2014 ILB MIchael Lazarus from Berkeley HS (CA) and extended an offer today.
“Coach (Chris) Ball just stopped by. He was excited to finally get to see me in person. He was surprised at how big I was,” 2014 LB Michael Lazarus told CLA today. At 6’3 220, Lazarus will not only surprise college coaches, but also opponents.
Laz plays with an aggressive style and diagnoses plays well from his middle backer position.
Utah defensive backs Coach Sharrieff Shah was at Compton Centennial High School yesterday, and that wasn't the only surprise for rising 2014 DB Denzel Fisher. "We just opened spring practice today and I didn't even know they was coming," he told CLA yesterday.
Fisher was held out of practice with a sore back, but that didn't stop the Utes from extending an offer to the rangy 6'2 170 defensive back.
Some of the best student athletes in the state were on display at the Passing Down Best of the West 7on7 tournament at Fullerton College on Sunday. All 12 teams in attendance were loaded with talent. Every contest was highly competitive. When it was all said and done, Body By Tra, featuring Monrovia's Kurt Scoby, Upland's Tyler Hilinski and Culver City's Stanley Norman, took home the title.
