The San Fernando Tigers defeated the Canoga Park Hunters 42-35 to claim the Division II LA City Section Championship Saturday afternoon at East LA College.

The game featured a rematch of Valley Mission League foes. Much like their first meeting, San Fernando pulled out a victory in a high scoring slug fest.

San Fernando, behind the stellar play of junior quarterback Cris Solano and Inglewood transfer, receiver Charles Bell, took a seemingly insurmountable 42-14 in the second half.

Every so often, there is a student-athlete that comes out and 'wows' everybody that watches him. This time, that player is Su'a Cravens of the Vista Murrieta Broncos that has the entire high school football world buzzing. When you watch him play, it's easy to see why.

Most players to one thing and do it well. Cravens does multiple things and could be a 5-star player at any of those positions including wide receiver, running back, linebacker, safety or returning kicks. No matter where Cravens lines up on the field, he is a threat to make a huge impact on the play.

Nearly a week has passed since Gardena Serra defeated the Lompoc Braves to end California's longest active HS varsity football winning streak of 32 games, but Jackson and the Cavaliers have all but forgotten about their team's historic victory.

"Practice has definitely been a different focus. We have to forget about the win against Lompoc. If we lose this game I don't think people will remember that we ended their 32-game winning streak, but that we lost to Chaminade."

Over the course of the season at CLA, we have seen our fair share of high school football in the Los Angeles region. After watching countless hours of HS football during camps, 7on7 over the summer and during the season on the sidelines we have come up with our 2012 CLA Fantasy Teams. These are the players who we've interviewed, watched up close and personal and studied film on throughout the year.

Congratulations to those who made the list. We look forward to the remainder of the HS football season and until next season, this is the First Annual CLA Fantasy Team.

Notre Dame Coach Mike Denbrock, the former assistant for Head Coach Brian Kelly during his tenure at Grand Valley State (MI), has an eye for talent. It was Denbrock who got Kelly in contact with Gardena Serra HS Head Coach Scott Altenberg so that he could express his interest in 2014 All-American linebacker Dwight Williams.

"It was pretty much (Mike) Denbrock talking to him (Coach Kelly) about me. He said that I have the character, which is what they need in their program and that I can ball," Dwight told CLA Sports today.
