Today, Sebastian LaRue can rest easy knowing that he's made the right decision for his future. The recent Texas A&M Aggies commit is excited about his future in College Station, Texas.

"I went out there (Texas A&M) once before, so my trip made everything more familiar. I talked to the coaches and liked their whole vibe. They're a players' coaching staff and that's really what I look for," he told CLA Sports today.

A few weeks ago, CLA reported on Sebastian LaRue's decommitment from USC.

CLA would like to welcome Adoree' Jackson to center-stage. Everyone please stand up and give a warm round of applause to the most dynamic high school student-athlete in the class of 2014. The LSU Tigers have officially joined the party. From a zero star-rating at the beginning of the 2012 HS football season, to the first five-star rated recruit before the end of the year.

On Thursday evening, LSU didn't hesitate to extend an offer to Jackson. Adoree' has recently received official offers from the likes of USC, Florida, Miami, Texas A&M and several other top BCS programs.

Thanks to B2G Sports, college recruiters and high school football fans will have an opportunity to watch some of the best players compete in the West Coast Bowl at Home Depot Center in Carson on Sunday January 27 at 3:30 PM. The all-star game will feature DI bound student athletes from around the west coast.

When it came to Steve Clarkson’s Field Generals Quarterback Camp over the weekend, the list had no shortage of talent. From soon-to-be-seniors to the youth, there were plenty of quarterbacks honing their skills and opening up eyes for us here at CollegeLevelAthletes.com.

The Field Generals camp offered up some extremely talented quarterbacks such as Jack Lowary, J.J. Brooks, Troy Dixon, Sandy Plashkes and more.

Of the older quarterbacks that were in attendance, the more recognized names were David Sills (2015 USC commit), Wilton Speight, Brandon Dawkins, Brady White and M.C. Poe.

Game 7 at the MLK Day Showdown featured the Gardena Serra Cavaliers against the Alemany Warriors.

Alemany enters the contest with a 13-6 record while Serra comes in 16-4. Both teams came out fast and on fire from long range. For Serra, guard Ajon Efferson knocked down a couple jumpers but Alemany responded with jumpers from sophomore Bennie Boatwright and freshman Shacquille Dawkins.

After the first quarter, Alemany led 24-19.

Boatwright hit four three-pointers in the first half to spark the Warriors.

The fifth game at the MLK Day Showdown at Providence features a quality matchup between the JW North Huskies of Riverside and the Palisades Dolphins.

JW North enters with a 16-3 record while Palisades holds a 14-6 mark coming into today.

Both teams play tough defense, forcing the opposition to work for every basket. Open looks were hard to come by in the first quarter with Palisades holding a slim 10-9 lead until Ohio State football commit Marcus Baugh threw down a vicious dunk to give JW North an 11-10 advantage after a quarter.

The third matchup at the MLK Showdown at Providence featured the La Verne Lutheran Trojans against the View Park Knights.

Lutheran entered the contest 17-6 while View Park came in with a 15-9 mark.

The Trojans jumped out to a big first quarter lead with strong play from Jay Miller, McKay Anderson, Skyler WIlliams and Joseph Rushing. Lutheran built a 26-12 advantage at the end of a quarter.

The opening matchup in the MLK Day Showdown at Providence High School featured the Mission Prep Royals from San Luis Obispo against the Renaissance Academy Wildcats of La Cañada.

Mission Prep entered the contest with a 13-7 record while Renaissance Academy came in with a 12-6 mark.

Both teams came out of the gates strong in a competitive first quarter. Renaissance Academy was led in the first half by junior Karl Vaskys who scored 15 points.

Sophomore Quinton Adlesh responded for the Royals, dropping 16 points to give Mission Prep a 34-30 halftime advantage.

Thanks to Jeffrey Coprich and the Inner City Youth Foundation, the best local student athletes were celebrated on an Evening of Champions at the Inaugural Unsung Heroes Awards Ceremony at Celebrity Centre in Hollywood Sunday night.

CLA was honored to attend such a glorious event that featured several performers, including the LA City Inner CIty Mass Choir. Athletes were recognized for their success on the field, in the classroom and within the community.

Day Two at Steve Clarkson's Field Generals Quarterback Camp provided the athletes with an opportunity to apply the skills and techniques they learned the day before.

It was a pristine sunny day at Cathedral High School and the quarterbacks made the most of the optimal conditions. In addition to the several training stations, there was a Madden Truck on site for the quarterbacks to play video game football to improve decision making and engage in friendly competition.
