There were plenty of top athletes on-hand at the 2013 Nike Football Training Camp. Local Los Angeles-area schools were represented very well and several top players earned top camp honors. 2014 LB Dwight Williams from Gardena Serra was named linebacker MVP.
St. John Bosco junior standout defensive back Naijiel Hale is primed for a sensational senior season in 2013. The ball-hawking corner just landed a scholarship offer from Nebraska. The black shirt Cornhusker defense would welcome the addition of a talent like Hale.
Boise State has also offered while Oregon, UCLA and Northwestern are just a few of the programs interested in Naijiel's services. As the recruiting process heats up, CLA expects Hale to continue to reel in offers from big time programs.
With National Signing Day finally here, Salesian standout defensive back Jermaine Kelly Jr. can add a late offer from USC to the impressive list of programs clamoring for his services. While Kelly is committed to Washington, he remains interested in Oregon, USC and Boise State and intends to evaluate his options and make a prudent decision.
"I'm blessed right now. All I can do is take it in, and listen to what they have to say, along with my family and just pray on it," said Kelly.
Kelly is looking forward to the next step in his football journey.

In the West Coast Bowl at Home Depot Center in Carson Sunday, Lincoln head coach David Dunn led the Red All-Stars to a 21-16 victory over Narbonne head man Manuel Douglass and the Green All-Stars.
The game featured the best local football talent in the west coast. The Red team jumped out to a big early lead, highlighted by a long touchdown catch from Dorsey's Delvon Hardaway to give them a 14-3 halftime advantage. The San Jose State commit was named CLA Player of the Game for his efforts.
Thanks to B2G Sports, college recruiters and high school football fans will have an opportunity to watch some of the best players compete in the West Coast Bowl at Home Depot Center in Carson on Sunday January 27 at 3:30 PM. The all-star game will feature DI bound student athletes from around the west coast.
When it came to Steve Clarkson’s Field Generals Quarterback Camp over the weekend, the list had no shortage of talent. From soon-to-be-seniors to the youth, there were plenty of quarterbacks honing their skills and opening up eyes for us here at CollegeLevelAthletes.com.
The Field Generals camp offered up some extremely talented quarterbacks such as Jack Lowary, J.J. Brooks, Troy Dixon, Sandy Plashkes and more.
Of the older quarterbacks that were in attendance, the more recognized names were David Sills (2015 USC commit), Wilton Speight, Brandon Dawkins, Brady White and M.C. Poe.
Thanks to Jeffrey Coprich and the Inner City Youth Foundation, the best local student athletes were celebrated on an Evening of Champions at the Inaugural Unsung Heroes Awards Ceremony at Celebrity Centre in Hollywood Sunday night.
CLA was honored to attend such a glorious event that featured several performers, including the LA City Inner CIty Mass Choir. Athletes were recognized for their success on the field, in the classroom and within the community.
Day Two at Steve Clarkson's Field Generals Quarterback Camp provided the athletes with an opportunity to apply the skills and techniques they learned the day before.
It was a pristine sunny day at Cathedral High School and the quarterbacks made the most of the optimal conditions. In addition to the several training stations, there was a Madden Truck on site for the quarterbacks to play video game football to improve decision making and engage in friendly competition.
