Alemany Tops Corona Centennial 45-28, Moves to 4-0

The Alemany Warriors defeated the Corona Centennial Huskies 45-28 Friday night in a front of a raucous home crowd.

The game got off to a fast start with the Huskies storming down the field in the opening minute and taking the lead on a 33-yard touchdown run by Cal commit Tre Watson. Quarterback Robert Webber converted the two-point try with a short run.

Chaminade Earns Tough 21-14 Road Win Over Oaks Christian

The Chaminade Eagles topped the Oaks Christian Lions 21-14 in a hard fought battle between perennial powers Thursday night in Westlake Village. Miami 2014 commit and Elite 11 QB Brad Kaaya scored the game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard plunge to secure the big road victory for the Eagles.

After a slow start for both teams, the score was 8-8 at halftime. Chaminade got on the board first with a touchdown run by senior Donovan Lee. The Eagles converted the 2-point try and made the score 8-0.

Diego Rivera (formerly known as "South Region 2") did most of its damage in the first half and maintained a 26-0 lead at the intermission before strolling to a 32-8 nonleague win over Marshall of Pasadena at Pasadena High School.

**Jameel Malik (9 runs, 76 yards, 2 TDs) kicked clear and breezed into the endzone on an 80-yard dash to end a scoreless duel and put the Huskies on the board first with 1:50 left in the opening stanza before crossing the pylons from two yards out for another touchdown run and a 14-0 second quarter lead.

St. Francis Defeats La Mirada 49-20, Joe Mudie Scores 4 TD

The St. Francis Golden Knights took care of business Thursday night with an impressive 49-20 home victory over the La Mirada Matadores. The star of the game was senior running back Joe Mudie who scored four touchdowns.

St. Francis jumped out to an early 6-0 lead with a short touchdown run by Mudie. La Mirada responded with a touchdown drive of their own that featured several nice catches from talented wide receiver Dallis Todd. Matadores junior quarterback Kevin Dillman linked up with Todd on a sweet pitch and catch to give La Mirada a 7-6 lead late in the first quarter.
