Braxton Berrios is already a household name in the world of high school football. After a dominating performance at The Opening in Oregon over the summer, Berrios carried the momentum into week one of the 2013 season.

CLA correspondent Devin Masone was on the sidelines and watched Braxton Berrios do damage last week. Check out the highlights below and look forward to much more throughout the season.

Braxton Berrios: Week 1 Highlights

The Arizona Wildcats landed a pair of talented teammates Wednesday night when Salesian linebacker Jamardre Cobb and defensive end Marquis Ware committed to attend school and play football in Tucson. The standout defenders are an intimidating force on the Mustangs defense. Cobb and Ware will join fellow Mustang Rodney Carr in Tucson.

CLA had the chance to catch up with Jamardre Cobb to discuss his decision.

Freedom High School 2014 RB Joe Mixon named Cal one of his early favorites last week and he's now taken one official visit off of his schedule in favor of the Bears.

"I did what's best for me and the family by making that move," Mixon told CLA Sports today.

Today the All-American running back took an official visit to Texas A&M off of his schedule so that he could remain close to home in the Pac-12.

Joe Mixon Highlights: Passing Down 7on7 Tourney

Class of 2015 lock down cornerback Tarvarus McFadden from American Heritage in Plantation, FL possesses the size and speed to flourish at the next level. During the 7on7 circuit this spring, McFadden balled out for South Florida Express Elite squad.

CLA witnessed McFadden's talent first hand at the IMG 7v7 National Championships in Bradenton. The standout defensive back has already reeled in several scholarship offers with many more certainly to come.

Freedom High superstar running back Joe Mixon received his 50th scholarship offer from the Oregon Ducks recently. The primetime performer rushed for 1,443 yards and 20 touchdowns while snagging six receiving touchdowns for the Falcons last season. The highly coveted Mixon narrowed his extensive list of suitors to 10 a few weeks ago.

Four Pac-12 programs made the cut including Oregon, Oregon State, Washington and Cal. Perennial powers like Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida remain in contention. Wisconsin, Texas A&M and Tennessee are still in the running as well.

George Campbell gets it done with a smile on his face. The 6'5" 190 wide receiver is heading into his junior season at East Lake High School (Florida) and exploded with a 4.37 forty at The Opening in Oregon several weeks ago.

The first time CLA watched George Campbell in person was in early July of this year at the IMG 7v7 National Championship in Bradenton, FL while the 2015 WR was still uncommitted. Campbell put on an MVP performance for Team Tampa and helped them claim victory in a tough battle against the South Florida Express.

CLA spoke with 2016 WR Brandon Burton about the upcoming season, Fall camp and recruiting. We asked Burton about the depth chart this season and what he's been doing in the off-season to prepare.

Last season, Burton was featured primarily on special teams. Luckily for CLA, we were in attendance on the sidelines when Burton scored on an incredible pick six in the CIF playoffs.

It's not a surprise that K.D. Cannon launched himself onto the national scene at The Opening in Oregon last month. The 2014 WR torched defensive rosters filled with All-American recruits and had several highlight reel touchdown catches.

Today, K.D. Cannon made it official and committed to the University of Baylor.

"I went down there to go watch 'em practice. I had it in my mind that I wanted to commit anyway. I talked to the coaching staff and committed," Cannon told CLA this evening.

KD Cannon Senior Midseason Highlights

Class of 2014 standout safety Jamal Adams is one of the top recruits in the nation. The hard-hitting Adams from Hebron High in Carrollton has scholarship offers from several big time programs around the country. With his senior season approaching, Adams has narrowed his list to five schools.

CLA had the chance to catch up with Adams to discuss the upcoming season, the recruiting process and his experience at The Opening in Beaverton last month.
