Freedom High superstar running back Joe Mixon received his 50th scholarship offer from the Oregon Ducks recently. The primetime performer rushed for 1,443 yards and 20 touchdowns while snagging six receiving touchdowns for the Falcons last season. The highly coveted Mixon narrowed his extensive list of suitors to 10 a few weeks ago.
Four Pac-12 programs made the cut including Oregon, Oregon State, Washington and Cal. Perennial powers like Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida remain in contention. Wisconsin, Texas A&M and Tennessee are still in the running as well.

CLA caught up with Mixon to discuss his upcoming visits.
"I only got four right now. I got Texas A&M vs Alabama. I got Florida vs Tennessee. I'm going up there with Jamal Adams. Oklahoma vs TCU with Michiah Quick and Wisconsin vs Northwestern with Damien Mama and John Plattenburg Jr," Mixon told CLA Sports.
Joe Mixon 7on7 Highlights: The Opening
One program yet to offer Mixon is Alabama, but the Crimson Tide brass may be reconsidering.
"They said they're going to send somebody out here during the season to see me. They've only seen me on film," Mixon said.
Two programs that have landed in Mixon's top five are Cal and Florida. Local favorite Cal has the inside track to Mixon's services.
"To be honest, because it's close (Cal) and (Brendan) Bigelow is gonna be gone and that would be perfect for me to come right in and have an opportunity to start," said Mixon.

Another program gaining traction in the Mixon sweepstakes are the Florida Gators.
"Really because they got a good running back tradition. Running backs Coach White was just telling me that for the past 20 years all the starters have gone to the league. They have a sophomore right now who might be gone. I'd be one of the perfect guys to fit into his offense," Mixon said.
Mixon is set to announce his decision in January at the Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando. Check back with CLA to see which programs will join Florida and Cal in Mixon's top five.
