When it came to Steve Clarkson’s Field Generals Quarterback Camp over the weekend, the list had no shortage of talent. From soon-to-be-seniors to the youth, there were plenty of quarterbacks honing their skills and opening up eyes for us here at CollegeLevelAthletes.com.

The Field Generals camp offered up some extremely talented quarterbacks such as Jack Lowary, J.J. Brooks, Troy Dixon, Sandy Plashkes and more.

Of the older quarterbacks that were in attendance, the more recognized names were David Sills (2015 USC commit), Wilton Speight, Brandon Dawkins, Brady White and M.C. Poe.

Day Two at Steve Clarkson's Field Generals Quarterback Camp provided the athletes with an opportunity to apply the skills and techniques they learned the day before.

It was a pristine sunny day at Cathedral High School and the quarterbacks made the most of the optimal conditions. In addition to the several training stations, there was a Madden Truck on site for the quarterbacks to play video game football to improve decision making and engage in friendly competition.

Day One at quarterback guru Steve Clarkson’s Field Generals Camp provided CLA with a glimpse at some of the most talented young arms in the country. The two-day event sold out quickly and provides immeasurable knowledge to all those in attendance.

75 aspiring college level athletes were afforded the privilege of being coached up by one of the best in the business in Clarkson.

During his collegiate career, Clarkson was a 3-year starter and two-time Academic All-American at San Jose State University under legendary coach Jack Elway.

Running back Joe Mixon of Freedom High School (Calif.) has been one of the hottest names recently and for good reason. The 2014 graduate took to the Army All-American combine over the weekend and impressed everyone that saw him.

Measuring at 6-foot-1 and 201 lbs., Mixon ran a 4.68 40-yard dash and jumped 33 inches on his vertical. His performance paid off as he received another offer, this time from Utah.

Michael Barton

Hometown:

Concord, CA

Fresh off leading his team to a dominating 35-0 victory over Westlake Village in the California State Bowl Division Championship, linebacker Michael Barton is poised to make an immediate impact at the collegiate level. The Bay Area product has decided to stay close to home and attend Cal.

At 6’1 200, it seems likely that Barton will move to safety. As a three-year starter at De La Salle, Barton demonstrated uncanny football instincts, a relentless pursuit of the ball and invaluable leadership skills. Moving forward, Barton will be a vital asset for Jeff Tedford and company.

Bryce Treggs

Hometown:

Bellflower, CA

Speedy St. John Bosco wide receiver Bryce Treggs will play his college ball at California. The shifty Treggs will bring explosiveness and big play ability to Jeff Tedford’s offense. The addition of Treggs provides returning quarterback Zach Maynard another weapon at his disposal.

At 6’0 175, Treggs will most likely play the slot but has the versatility to play on the outside for the Bears. Expect Treggs to contribute from day one.

Las Vegas, Nevada is more than just casinos and conventions. Just ask Bishop Gorman High School senior tight end Xavier Grimble (TE, USC) and the rest of his squad. Sin city produced some of the top prep football talent in the class of 2010, and is still looking to unleash a handful of student-athletes onto the scene in 2011. If Las Vegas is going to become known for it's prep football prowess, this is the program to make it happen.
