Nearly a week has passed since Gardena Serra defeated the Lompoc Braves to end California's longest active HS varsity football winning streak of 32 games, but Jackson and the Cavaliers have all but forgotten about their team's historic victory.

"Practice has definitely been a different focus. We have to forget about the win against Lompoc. If we lose this game I don't think people will remember that we ended their 32-game winning streak, but that we lost to Chaminade."

Over the course of the season at CLA, we have seen our fair share of high school football in the Los Angeles region. After watching countless hours of HS football during camps, 7on7 over the summer and during the season on the sidelines we have come up with our 2012 CLA Fantasy Teams. These are the players who we've interviewed, watched up close and personal and studied film on throughout the year.

The Gardena Serra Cavaliers took care of business Friday night with an impressive 58-6 victory over the Santa Monica Vikings. Serra advances to face top seed and undefeated Lompoc in the CIFSS Western division semifinals next Friday.

The Cavaliers jumped out to an early lead on a short touchdown run by Malik Roberson.

Serra added to its lead on a 12-yard touchdown run from 5-star recruit Adoree’ Jackson.

The Gardena Serra Cavaliers host the Santa Monica Vikings Friday night in a Southern Section quarterfinal matchup from the Western division. Both teams enter the contest on a roll, having dominated their first round opponents.

Santa Monica is led by standout receiver and USC commit Sebastian Larue, but the Vikings also possess an effective run game that should present a challenge to the stout Serra defense.

College Level Athletes caught up with Serra (Gardena) Head Coach Scott Altenberg, who coached USC's Marqise Lee, Robert Woods and George Farmer, along with several other notable players who have now moved on to the NCAA and NFL ranks.

"It's just exciting to see those guys play so well.. and the thing is, represent our school so well. We have three kids in the NFL this year for the first time. It says that we're putting out good kids," Alternberg told CLA after Serra's 42-6 victory over St. Francis last Thursday night.

The Gardena Serra Cavaliers took care of business Thursday night, dominating league foe St. Francis 42-6 behind a stellar defensive performance and three touchdowns from Malik Roberson.

With playmaker Taz Bateman lost for the season with a broken ankle, it was incumbent upon others to step their game up. On this night, it was Malik Roberson that was up to the challenge.

Trailing 3-0, the Cavaliers took the lead on a rushing touchdown by Roberson. The Serra defense held the St. Francis offense out of the end zone all night, yielding only two long field goals. Serra led 14-6 at halftime.

CLA Sports talked to Adoree' Jackson at Serra High School this afternoon about tonight's matchup against a tough Chaminade team. The top 2014 DB recruit also talked about what schools have shown interest and about the USC football gloves he wore vs. Narbonne two weeks ago.

Adoree' Jackson (DB/2014) played well for Gardena Serra in Friday night's loss to nationally ranked Narbonne HS. Jackson's Cavaliers were unable to overcome several mistakes on the offensive side of the ball, and fell to the Gauchos 22-9.

Jackson was spotted on the field wearing a pair of USC Trojans football gloves that he used to snatch several Jalen Greene (QB/2014) passes. Adoree' made contributions for the Cavaliers on offense, defense and special teams. "The Trojans are a good team, they stick out to me a lot," Jackson told College Level Athletes after the game.

The Narbonne Gauchos defeated the Gardena Serra Cavaliers 22-9 in a highly anticipated inter-sectional clash between undefeated teams. The high powered Narbonne offense was for the most part held in check by the stout Serra defense.

Standout senior quarterback Troy Williams and the Gauchos struck first with a 24-yard touchdown pass to Jon’tae Robeson. University of Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian was on the sidelines to see his prized recruit in action.

Standout Serra junior defensive back Adoree' Jackson is a special football player. Jackson simply makes winning plays, often making difficult tackles look routine. Whether it's on offense, defense or special teams, Adoree' Knows. Adoree' is a key contributor on this year’s undefeated Gardena Serra Cavaliers squad that has high hopes for a perfect season.
