Quarterback guru Steve Clarkson's Throwback Football League provides student athletes with an opportunity to be great. Youngsters from 6th-8th grade are comprised of 10 teams sporting vintage throwback uniforms from football's glory days.

The TFL is a springtime full pads full contact league that seeks to recruit, develop and showcase the best young talent around. There are no kicks in the TFL. Each team starts offense with the ball on their own 40 yard line. If they are unable to score and choose to punt, the ball is advanced 30 yards where their opponent takes control of the ball.

The scoring outburst was nothing new for Hampton who has been dropping buckets consistently all season. Marshall will likely need a similar output in their next contest.

The fifth game at the MLK Day Showdown at Providence features a quality matchup between the JW North Huskies of Riverside and the Palisades Dolphins.

JW North enters with a 16-3 record while Palisades holds a 14-6 mark coming into today.

Both teams play tough defense, forcing the opposition to work for every basket. Open looks were hard to come by in the first quarter with Palisades holding a slim 10-9 lead until Ohio State football commit Marcus Baugh threw down a vicious dunk to give JW North an 11-10 advantage after a quarter.
