Day Two at Steve Clarkson Quarterback Retreat at Coronado High in San Diego provided the talented quarterbacks the opportunity to build on the experience and knowledge gleaned from Day One.
Once again, the weather conditions were optimal for Steve Clarkson and his quality team of instructors to teach the young signal callers the skills and techniques necessary to be a successful quarterback.
Day One at Steve Clarkson's Quarterback Retreat in San Diego featured some of the most talented quarterbacks in the country. D1 bound quarterbacks in attendance included Michigan commit Wilton Speight, Hart quarterback Brady White, Chaminade quarterback Brad Kaaya and Oaks Christian signal caller Brandon Dawkins.
The two-day event is taking place at Coronado High School under pristine weather conditions.
Athlete would be the perfect word to describe Mission Hills (CA.) Bishop Alemany class of 2015 star Desean Holmes. Holmes played alongside Steven Mitchell last year and by some of his own games, it seems as though he is ready to break out during his junior year. Now, his recruiting is beginning to pick up.
Holmes sits on four offers right now from Utah, Houston, UCLA and most recently, USC. Those are all well and good, but he wants more and from some schools out east such as "Arkansas, Florida and Florida State."
Eight local high school teams competed in the 1st Annual Canyon Cowboys Spring Passing Tournament at Canyon High Saturday. In the inaugural event, Canyon head coach Rich Gutierrez and his staff succeeded in providing the student athletes a quality platform to showcase their abilities.
There were several college level athletes participating as each team is loaded with talent. Schools in attendance included host Canyon, Oaks Christian, Westlake, Notre Dame, Valencia, Saugus, Buena and Eastside.
Hart standouts Brady White and Trent Irwin were just a few of the talented student athletes competing in a 7v7 passing tournament at Crescenta Valley High School Friday afternoon.
The college coaches in attendance witnessed White and Irwin link up on several big plays. White's precision passing and decision making combined with Irwin's excellent route running and great hands are a nightmare for opposing defenses to contain.
Four talented local high schools participated in a 7v7 passing tournament that featured several D1 bound student athletes at Loyola Wednesday afternoon. Many college coaches from around the country were in attendance to observe the action and evaluate the talent.
The host Loyola Cubs were joined by the Salesian Mustangs, Narbonne Gauchos and Cathedral Phantoms.

Super skilled Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) receiver Daniel Khan has already peeked the interest of several Ivy league programs because of his on-field production and excellence in the classroom.
Most recently, Khan received a personal phone call from Dartmouth head coach Buddy Teevens about a potential future with the Big Green. Princeton and Penn remain heavily interested in Khan's services as well.
