Another year, another disappointing loss to the Stanford Cardinal football team for the Men of Troy. Unfortunately, the USC Trojans walked out with a loss last Saturday that dropped the potential title contenders down the ranks. It was a tough loss that left heartbreak in everyone from the fans to the coaches to the players.
It was a setback, but it didn’t knock the Trojans out of contention. It’s a long season and anything can happen. The question is, how did it affect the view of the Trojans from some of their top commits?
I was able to talk to some of the commits to get their thoughts and get an idea on where they stand in their commitment to USC and here’s what they had to say:
Steven Mitchell, WR:
"I am still strong on my commitment. Can’t wait to be a Trojan."
Eldridge Massington, WR:
"I’m 10,000% USC and nothing will change that."
Nico Falah, OT:
"My commitment is still 100%. I’m sticking with USC. The game was a little disappointing, but they’ll bounce back."
Kenny Bigelow, DT:
"Teams lose. As disappointing as it is, it happens, but it doesn’t affect my status at all."
Khaliel Rodgers, OL:
"I’m 100% strong (in his commitment) and the past is the past. We are concerned about Cal and the rest of the season."
Chris Hawkins, CB:
"The Stanford game didn’t change anything for my commitment. It just makes me want to get there and play already to help my team."
Jason Hatcher, DE:
"I still stand strong on my commitment and I know the Trojans are gonna FIGHT ON."
The USC commits are united and the future will always look bright for the Trojans.
