The 2013 Elite 11 in Beaverton, Oregon features 18 of the best young quarterbacks in the country. Since 2011, former Super Bowl winning quarterback and ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer has served as head coach. Under Dilfer's tutelage, the future college level quarterbacks are afforded the opportunity to measure their skills against their peers and glean invaluable insight from of a successful former NFL signal caller.
The 18 quarterbacks in attendance are well deserving of the invite and loaded with talent. Recent Texas A&M commit Kyle Allen from Scottsdale, AZ headlines the star-studded crop of gun-slingers.
California is well represented with the likes of Miami commit and Chaminade QB Brad Kaaya, Arizona State commit Manny Wilkins from Novato, Stanford commit Keller Chryst from Palo Alto, K.J. Carta-Samuels from San Jose and Oregon Ducks commit Morgan Mahalak from Kentfield.
Elite 11 Quarterback Camp: Day 1 Highlights
Both quarterbacks from Texas impressed on Saturday. Longhorns commit Jerrod Heard of Denton and David Blough of Carrollton performed well.
Other quarterbacks that impressed included Sean White from Fort Lauderdale, Deshaun Watson from Gainesville, GA, Will Grier of Davidson, NC, Jacob Park from Goose Creek, SC and Deshone Kizer of Toledo.
All the quarterbacks attending have bright futures at the collegiate level and their experience at the Elite 11 will be beneficial to their growth and development under center.
