Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 235 lbs., the Miami Northwestern defensive end Michael Smith is beginning to stand out. The Class of 2014 player took to the NFTC in Miami and showed great explosion off of the line of scrimmage and it is easy to see that teams are taking notice with a solid list of offers already.

Smith boasts offers from Louisville, Clemson, West Virginia, South Florida, Cincinnati, UCLA and Marshall, but he's receiving big time interest as well. "Miami (Fl.), Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas and Yale are showing interest too."

Steve Clarkson has been around the game of football in Los Angeles, CA for a long time. Clarkson led Woodrow Wilson to three LA City Championships during his high school days, then went on to start at San Jose State University, where he holds several passing records to this day.

I caught up with 2013 Notre Dame football signee Max Redfield today at the Nike Arcadia Invite Track Meet (Arcadia, CA). Redfield was an alternate for the 4x400 relay but did not compete.

He talked about some of the players that he's been in contact with from the incoming Fighting Irish recruiting class and expressed excitement about joining the team. One name that you will hear more of in the Southern California area is Ricky Town. The 2015 quarterback from St. Bonaventure in Ventura, California stands 6-foot-4 and 190 lbs. and is picking up interest rather quickly.

"I have offers from UCLA and Miami (Fl.). Stanford, Alabama, Arizona State and Washington are also showing interest," Town said. That is a great list to boast for any quarterback, especially this early in the stage for a 2015 recruit. He's just patiently waiting on more offers, but he's going out there to try to earn them.

You can't hold back the competitive nature of a great athlete. Along with his competitive fire, the desire to win and to be the best is what fuels Serra High School's Adoree' Jackson.

"I know once I get out there nobody is going to touch me," the junior says as he talks about competing in the long jump. "During basketball season I went out there and jumped 22 feet and I only took 8 steps."

This is why they call him "Adoree' Knows."

Jamardre Cobb is the real deal. On one hand, Cobb can take a lick and keep on ticking, as proven by the recent 15 stitches he received above his eye after colliding with a teammate during a 7on7 game. On the other hand, he's known amongst the high school and college football world for being the one who delivers the blows.
