The first few weeks of the season have been great. My team is on a 2 game win streak and I'm leading the team in receptions and receiving yards. I'm also tied for receiving touchdowns. Arizona State, Colorado & Fresno State are a few of the schools that I have talked to so far. Hopefully one of them offers me by the end of the season.... Our week 3 matchup is vs Elsinore. They are a tough team, but I know we have the talent to beat them.

Practice this week has been a little off but we still maintain the mental focus for the game against El Rancho. This is the first time that Diamond Ranch will play El Rancho. Watching film, we noticed that their quarterback is one of their main threats, which made practice a lot of more getting used to the option and quarterback run.

The time has come. The 2012 college football season kicks off Thursday with a good set of games to get the ball rolling.

The only ranked team on the slate are #9 South Carolina who opens the year on the road against Vanderbilt in an early season SEC clash.

Another intriguing story line is the debut of Brett Hundley as UCLA starting quarterback in head coach Jim L. Mora’s first game at the helm.

In the battle of the Cougars, Washington State travels to Provo to take on BYU in Mike Leach’s inaugural game as WSU head coach.

Off season went very well breaking in a new junior quarterback. The team looked hungry and more physical than in recent memory here in Grand Island. We're inexperienced on the lines, but we also have very promising young talent. We did very well in the scrimmage and are looking forward to the September 1st, when we take on Kenmore East at 2 o'clock.

The top players on the team this season are myself, MLB - Anthony Zogaria, OLB - Chris Connors and DE - Dominic Tripi.
