Watch Terry Crews give recruiting advice to a few Serra Cavaliers. 2014 All-American recruits Adoree' Jackson and Dwight Williams met Crews along with teammates Jalen Greene and Glen Ihenacho. Greene recently committed to Boise State.
You can't hold back the competitive nature of a great athlete. Along with his competitive fire, the desire to win and to be the best is what fuels Serra High School's Adoree' Jackson.
"I know once I get out there nobody is going to touch me," the junior says as he talks about competing in the long jump. "During basketball season I went out there and jumped 22 feet and I only took 8 steps."
Jamardre Cobb is the real deal. On one hand, Cobb can take a lick and keep on ticking, as proven by the recent 15 stitches he received above his eye after colliding with a teammate during a 7on7 game. On the other hand, he's known amongst the high school and college football world for being the one who delivers the blows.
Watch a few of the top plays from the NFA 7on7 Passing Tournament at Newbury Park High School (CA).
Notable players who stood out today were Naijiel Hale (DB/2014) from St. John Bosco, Brady White (QB/2015) out of Newhall's Hart High School, along with Serra's Dwight Williams and Mater Dei rising '14 DB recruit Jonathan Lockett.
Today's opening day of the NFA 7on7 passing tournament at Newbury Park High School was well worth the journey. Several of the country's top 7on7 teams were on display. The Gamebreakers, who are coached by former USC Trojan and NFL defensive lineman Chris Claiborne, in addition to the Snoop Dogg All-Stars, B2G Sports and Ground Zero were a few of the top teams who competed on Saturday.
The early games brought excitement to a crowd full of spectators that included parents, fans, players and media, but things got a bit more exciting once the stadium lights were turned on.
Keep your head on a swivel if you've got the ball in your hands and Glen Ihenacho is playing defense. The Gardena Serra 2014 DB has a tendency to lay wood and you'll get to see him live in-action on a high school field in Southern California this football season.
In the meantime, watch Glen ball out. The younger brother of Denver Broncos safety Duke Ihenacho is an instant impact player and moves around the field like a linebacker in a defensive back's body.
Watch Dwight Williams Top 10 Plays from his junior season at Serra High School (CA). Williams currently has offers from top BCS college football programs such as Florida, UCLA, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Miami, Michigan, Tennessee and many others.
Jaleel Wadood is that dude. As one of the top defensive back recruits on the West Coast, Wadood is stacking scholarship offers like pancakes, and it's no short stack either. The St. John Bosco 2014 DB has racked up offers from ten top Division I programs since last year.
Wadood's most recent offer came today from the Pac-12. Washington State reached out to the Bosco coaching staff and made contact with Wadood to become his tenth official scholarship offer.
The Cougars are currently in a rebuilding phase, but that doesn't mean Wadood is sleeping on their offer either.
