Mission League leaders Chaminade fought back from a 7-3 halftime deficit to overcome a rugged Loyola team. Loyola dominated a well coached first half with running back Daniel Tolbert scoring a touchdown on Loyola's opening drive.

Loyola almost went ahead by two touchdowns but Chaminade's defense held firm on an intense 4th and 1 inside the red zone. However, with under a minute left in the first half, quarterback Edward Sias led Chaminade on an impressive two-minute drill that resulted in a field goal.

The Chaminade Eagles rolled to an impressive 70-23 victory over the Venice Gondoliers in their season opener last week. Chaminade received a stellar performance from Okalani Langi, who scored four touchdowns in his first game for the Eagles.

Chaminade jumped out to the early lead on a short touchdown run by Langi. A bad snap on a punt attempt cost the Eagles two points.

Trailing 7-2, Venice quarterback Robbie Blosser connected with Dejon Jones on a huge 55-yard touchdown strike to give the Gondoliers the lead 9-7. Chaminade responded quickly and added two more touchdowns by Langi.
