Denzel Fisher has been one of the hardest working defensive back recruits on the West coast over the past year. Today, the UCLA commit Fisher hauled in another big-time offer.

Fisher received an offer from the USC Trojans today. Coach Tee Martin had been out to Compton Centennial twice this year and watched Fisher up close and personal against Serrano.

"It feels great. That was the school in my back yard and here they come with an offer. I worked hard for it," Fisher told CLA.

Utah defensive backs Coach Sharrieff Shah was at Compton Centennial High School yesterday, and that wasn't the only surprise for rising 2014 DB Denzel Fisher. "We just opened spring practice today and I didn't even know they was coming," he told CLA yesterday.

Fisher was held out of practice with a sore back, but that didn't stop the Utes from extending an offer to the rangy 6'2 170 defensive back.

Today's opening day of the NFA 7on7 passing tournament at Newbury Park High School was well worth the journey. Several of the country's top 7on7 teams were on display. The Gamebreakers, who are coached by former USC Trojan and NFL defensive lineman Chris Claiborne, in addition to the Snoop Dogg All-Stars, B2G Sports and Ground Zero were a few of the top teams who competed on Saturday.

The early games brought excitement to a crowd full of spectators that included parents, fans, players and media, but things got a bit more exciting once the stadium lights were turned on.

One of the stars of the 2013 Nike Football Camp at Redondo Union High in Los Angeles was Compton Centennial defensive back Denzel Fisher.

The 6-2 165 pound Fisher displayed great ball skills and lockdown ability. Denzel clearly has the size and speed to matchup with big fast wideouts.

Immediately following Fisher's performance at the Nike Camp, the recruiting process went into overdrive. CLA had the opportunity to speak with Fisher about his experience and growing interest from major programs.
