The Santa Margarita Eagles defeated the Dorsey Dons 33-13 in a hard hitting battle between intersectional foes. Both teams came into the game undefeated.
Santa Margarita jumped out to the early 6-0 lead. The Eagles offense was led by a balanced attack featuring Stanford commit quarterback KJ Costello and running back Trey Green.
Trailing 13-0, Dorsey fought back into the game, led by the playmaking of receiver Marcus Moore. Facing fourth down and 11 yards to go, Moore came up with an incredible touchdown catch off a deflected pass in the back of the end zone. The big play cut the Dorsey deficit to 13-7 at halftime.
