After a tight first quarter Cathedral stormed out to a 21-0 lead in the 2nd quarter behind quarterback Andrew Tovar. Cathedral WRs Renard Bell and Jamire Calvin both had excellent runs after making a catch for touchdowns.
Down 21-0 after playing two quarters, Dorsey showed their heart in the 2nd half. Dorsey refused to let Cathedral have the easy passing lanes that were open in the first leading to Dorsey junior Antwone Williams making a highlight reel interception. Dorsey closed the gap behind excellent runs from RB Parie Dedeaux and the wily quarterback play of junior Jerman Gotoy. But in the end Cathedral narrowly edged out the Dons 28-26.
