The Burbank Bulldogs defeated the Canyon Cowboys 35-6 Thursday night at Burroughs High School. After falling behind 6-0, Burbank settled in and took control of the contest.

The Bulldogs were led on offense by Darnell Williams. Burbank took a 14-6 lead into halftime. The Burbank special teams came up with a huge play in the third quarter, blocking a punt and returning it to the house.

Burbank continued to pull away, extending the lead to 35-6. The Bulldogs defense was led by the stellar play of Jake Kelley. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 2-1 heading into a crucial Pacific league opener against defending champion Crescenta Valley.
