The Burbank Bulldogs cruised to a dominating 56-14 Pacific League home victory over the Glendale Nitros Thursday night.
Burbank seized control of the game from the outset. Star junior running back James Williams took a shovel pass from junior quarterback Ryan Meredith to the house to give the Bulldogs the 6-0 advantage.
After recovering a Glendale fumble, bulldozing senior fullback Joseph Pendleton punched in a touchdown for Burbank to extend the lead. Williams added the 2-point run, giving the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead with 7:44 left in the opening quarter.
