The Pacific Hills Bruins completely dominated the Marshall Eagles 104-41 to advance to the quarterfinals of the CIFSS 4A playoffs.

The Bruins jumped out to a 30-12 advantage after the first quarter behind strong play from Washington bound Jahmel Taylor, Rice commit Marcus Jackson and Namon Wright.

Marshall senior Davin Hampton did his best to keep the Eagles in it with 20 first half points.

Pacific Hills was paced by 15 points from Taylor while Jackson and Wright added 13 apiece to give the Bruins a commanding 60-31 halftime advantage.

The Marshall Eagles of Pasadena scored a sweet victory over Notre Dame of Riverside thanks to a stellar 39-point performance from senior Davin Hampton in the opening round of the CIFSS 4A playoffs.

The scoring outburst was nothing new for Hampton who has been dropping buckets consistently all season. Marshall will likely need a similar output in their next contest.

The third matchup at the MLK Showdown at Providence featured the La Verne Lutheran Trojans against the View Park Knights.

Lutheran entered the contest 17-6 while View Park came in with a 15-9 mark.

The Trojans jumped out to a big first quarter lead with strong play from Jay Miller, McKay Anderson, Skyler WIlliams and Joseph Rushing. Lutheran built a 26-12 advantage at the end of a quarter.
