For a football program with a long line of legendary running backs, getting commitments at the position isn’t a hard task. So is the case for the 2013 class which features verbal commits from Lincoln HS’s (Stockton, CA) Justin Davis and Joliet Catholic’s (Joliet, Il) Ty Isaac. The two could form a dynamic duo that USC is used to seeing around.
With Davis, the Trojans are looking at a shifty running back that is talented in many facets of the game and Isaac will give them a 6-foot-2, 215 lbs. mauler to wear down defenses as well. They are so versatile in what they can do and USC will be able to utilize them very well. The best part about these two running backs is that they embrace playing together and they embrace competition.
Will we see these two make a huge impact during their first year on campus or will they have to wait awhile should Silas Redd return for his senior year and D.J. Morgan stepping up in recent weeks?
Either way, Davis and Isaac have all the tools to be the next great running back duo for the Trojans.
