The Notre Dame Knights defeated the Bishop Amat Lancers 31-21 on Homecoming Night in Sherman Oaks Friday night.
The Knights took the early lead on a 12-yard touchdown from quarterback Grant Kraemer to Cal commit Koa Farmer. The PAT failed and Notre Dame led 6-0 after a quarter.
With their offense stagnating, Lancers speedster Brandon Arconado stepped up with a big time punt return for a touchdown to give Bishop Amat a 7-6 advantage.

Both teams missed field goal attempts in the second quarter as both defenses held firm. The Lancers took a 7-6 lead into halftime.
Notre Dame stormed out of the gates in the second half. Sparked by a sweet kickoff return from Farmer, the Knights marched down the field and capped off the drive with a short touchdown run by Chris Colarossi.
Notre Dame added the 2-point conversion on a hard nose run by Grant Kraemer. Unfortunately for the Knights, Kraemer injured his shoulder on the play and had to exit the contest.
Leading 14-7, the Knights benefited from a momentum turning interception from lock down junior cornerback Mike Little that set up a 34-yard Lucas Alfonso field goal to extend the lead to 17-7.

Despite being double covered most of the night on offense, Daniel Khan stepped up with his first varsity interception that set up the Knights in Lancer territory. Another touchdown run by Colarossi gave Notre Dame a 24-7 lead heading to the final quarter.
The Lancers rallied back into the game. Quarterback Koa Haynes led them on a couple scoring drives capped off by short touchdowns runs by Anthony Camargo and Adrian Ortega.

Trailing 24-21, Bishop Amat was unable to recover the onside kick. WIth Kraemer out of the game, Koa Farmer took the majority of fourth quarter snaps at quarterback. Farmer sealed the game with an impressive 24-yard touchdown run that gave Notre Dame a 31-21 victory.
The Knights host Alemany next week in more Serra League action while Bishop Amat, who fall to 5-2, have the week off. Notre Dame improves to 5-2 on the season.
