Leading 21-0, the Mater Dei defense continued to stifle the Upland offense. Quarterback Tyler Hilinski was constantly pressured and forced out of the pocket. The Monarchs defensive line owned the line of scrimmage and imposed their will. Standout cornerback and Washington commit Jonathan Lockett shut down his side of the field and made an impact in the return game to boot.
2014 ATH Matthew Rockett
Senior wide receiver Matthew Rockett delivered the knockout punch with a ridiculous catch and run up the sideline to give the Monarchs a commanding 28-0 lead in the second quarter.
