So far, this has got to be one of our biggest games of the season. Tonight we go against back-to-back CIF Champions, West Covina. This week we tried to have a championship style practice because in order to beat a champion, you have to train & practice like one.
We have all our starters back, healthy & ready to pound every play. Mentally, we've gotten prepared by focusing a lot on how they run the Wing-T offense. Tonight is going to be all about our defense going against their offense.
Physically, some of our players are a little banged up from practice, but a championship practice doesn't mean to be content & stay hurt. Winning isn't everything, it's the ONLY thing. First to the last play, we're going to give it all we got.
From Daily Bulletin:
"Diamond Ranch, which finished second last season courtesy of a 28-point loss to West Covina, is off to its best start in 10 years. Panthers coach Roddy Layton, who has twice led the team to the CIF finals, typically loads his nonleague schedule with powerhouse opponents."
