Franklin Panthers senior wide receiver Joshua "Jay Tee" Taylor is gonna make quite a splash at the next level. The playmaking star wideout recently took an official visit to San Diego State and was pleased with his experience.
"I had a lot of fun. They had a good welcome for us. We watched a practice, it was an intense fast-paced practice which I liked," said Taylor.
Last week, Taylor participated in the LA All-Stars v San Diego All-Stars game at Oaks Christian where he had two catches.
Most recently, Taylor has been in contact with Fresno State secondary coach and former 13-year NFL veteran safety Tim McDonald. The expectation is that Jay Tee will set up a visit in the very near future. Taylor has also received interest from New Mexico State.
Taylor's recruiting status will become more clear after he takes the SAT on January 26.
The utilization of a gray shirt may be a possibility. In that instance, a player delays his enrollment in order to maintain full four-year eligibility and joins the team in the second semester of the year.
Taylor is a pivotal member of the Franklin basketball team as well. Taylor is averaging 13 points seven rebounds and two steals for the 11-10 Panthers, including a season high 23 points against Roybal.

CLA looks forward to catching Taylor on the hard court this season and wishes him the best in his recruitment and success at the next level.
