The USC Trojans landed a huge commitment when class of 2014 sharpshooting Etiwanda point guard Jordan McLaughlin announced his decision to attend Southern Cal over cross-town rival UCLA.
McLaughlin also had offers from power programs like Kansas and Indiana.
McLauglin balled out last season and was an integral factor in the Eagles defeating defending state champion Mater Dei 54-51 in the CIFSS 1AA Championship game. Mater Dei defeated Etiwanda in the rematch to advance to the CIF State Championship where they claimed their third straight crown.

Earlier in the season, McLaughlin shined at the Pioneer Hoops Showdown at Providence High School where he scored 17 points in leading Etiwanda to a 60-37 victory over Beverly Hills. Jordan was named CLA and Gatorade Player of the Game for his efforts.
New USC coach Andy Enfeld is getting a great all around player in McLaughlin and has the Trojans basketball program trending upward in very short order. The Trojans have also landed power forward Malik Price-Martin from Miami and should continue to bolster their class with the additions of former Syracuse teammates and local ballers Jason Hart and Tony Bland to the coaching staff.
