The 2015 Gatorade High School Athlete of the Year Award Ceremony featured the top high school athletes in the nation at their respective sports being honored for their exemplary athletic performance. The award recipients shined in the classroom as well. The 13th annual star studded event was held at the luxurious The L.A. Hotel Downtown.
Texas A&M freshman quarterback Kyler Murray took home the Male Athlete of the Year award after leading Allen High (TX) to a 43-0 record and three straight state titles.
Track and field superstar sprinter Candace Hill from Rockdale County High in Conyers, GA was named Female Athlete of the Year as a sophomore. In addition to her track accomplishments, Hill sports an impressive 4.61 GPA.
Hoops standout and LSU commit Ben Simmons was in attendance as well.
There were several big name pro athletes on hand to share advice and entertain the crowd. JJ Watt, Draymond Green, Abby Wambach, Karl Anthony-Towns and Demarco Murray were just a few of the stars in attendance. ESPN's Hannah Storm hosted the event.

Salute to Gatorade for hosting a great event and for all they do to promote high school athletes around the nation. CLA was honored to attend and look forward to watching these young athletes excel in the future.
