CLA Sports sat down today with one of the top prep football recruits in Arizona. Chaparral High School offensive lineman Andre Yruretagoyena (OL/2011), who was recently named to the Rivals100 2011 & ESPNU Top 150 football recruit list, has received offers from across the country.
Yruretagoyena has scholarship offers from Michigan, LSU, Nebraska, UCLA, USC, Oregon, Cal, Colorado, Kansas and several other universities. Yruretagoyena has the size and strength to compete at the next level, and told CLA Sports that he is leaning towards playing the the Pac-10 next season.
After a dominant junior season on the offensive line for Chaparral, Yruretagoyena is primed to have another stellar varsity year in 2010. Yruretagoyena anchored an offensive line that helped his team rush for over 3700 yards, 52 touchdowns and nearly 7 yards per carry. Led by senior running back Dwayne Garrett (1847 yds, 34 TDs in 2009), who signed with San Diego State, Yruretagoyena undoubtedly paved the way for his star performer.
