The Alemany Warriors defeated the Crespi Celts 34-7 to capture a share of the Serra League crown in front of a raucous crowd on Senior Night in Mission Hills.
Alemany took control of the game from the outset. After the Warriors defense forced an interception, junior running back Dominic Davis broke loose for a long touchdown run to give Alemany an early 7-0 advantage.
The Warriors defense, led by the stellar play of junior defensive end Tyree Thompson, bottled up the Crespi offense for the entire first half. Thompson was making plays in the Crespi backfield all night, supplying constant pressure on the quarterback and providing premium run support.

After Alemany added a field goal to lead 10-0, senior dual-threat quarterback Alif Grayes linked up with junior speedster Brandon Pierce on a touchdown strike that extended the Warriors lead to 17-0 at the half.
Trailing 20-0 in the third quarter, Crespi got on the board with a short touchdown run by junior Torrance Brumfield that cut the deficit to 20-7 with 2:03 left in third quarter. Brumfield made plays for Crespi on both sides of the ball, registering several tackles.

With the league title in grasp, Grayes connected with Pierce for another touchdown strike to give the Warriors a commanding 27-7 lead with less than five minutes remaining. Pierce hauled in eight catches for 55 yards on the night. The icing on the cake came in the form of a sweet interception return for a touchdown by Dominic Davis to seal the 34-7 victory for Alemany. Davis finished the contest with 130 yards on the ground.

The convincing victory ensures that Alemany will host a PAC-5 playoff game next Friday. Alemany and Notre Dame share the league title. The pairings for the postseason will be announced on Sunday.
