Class of 2017 WR Donovan Peoples-Jones Captures Nike Football Rating Championship at The Opening
Class of 2017 wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones shined on day one of The Opening Finals, claiming the Nike Football Rating National Championship with a 149.79 total score in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, agility shuttle and kneeling power ball toss. Peoples-Jones holds several scholarship offers including Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State.
The immaculate Nike campus in Beaverton, Oregon is host to the premier high school football event in the nation, featuring 166 of the best prospects in the country.
During the final competition, class of 2016 WR Tyrie Cleveland posted the fastest 40 time, running a 4.36 to edge out class of 2016 DB Nigel Knott's time of 4.38.
USC commit wide receiver Josh Imatorbhebhe posted a ridiculous 47.1 on the vertical jump to wow the spectators in attendance.
Santa Margarita standout wide receiver Dylan "Kekoa" Crawford scored an impressive 44.5 on his kneeling power ball toss.
Heading into day two, the 18 quarterbacks in attendance for the Elite 11 will test their abilities in 7on7 pool play. Here are the current standings before 7ON7 action begins.
