The 2013 B2G Elite Camp at UCLA provided the ideal setting for any aspiring college level athlete. Student-athletes participating in this year's camp walked down the to field for the morning session after having breakfast in the dining hall close to the dorms they'll be housed in for the remainder of the weekend. Campers get to experience firsthand what it's like to be a student-athlete in a college environment, and that's invaluable.
The morning session began at 10AM and CLA had a chance to watch the action up close and personal. This year's B2G Elite Camp features a best of the best from the West coast and beyond. A few of the top 2014 recruits from the West in attendance included the likes of Adoree' Jackson (Serra), JuJu Smith (Long Beach Poly), Dwight Williams (Serra), Jamardre Cobb (Salesian), Michael Lazarus (Berkeley), Damien Mama (Bosco) and Erik Brown (Summit).

After a short warmup, players headed to individuals where CLA had a chance to evaluate footwork, change of direction, and other aspects of each recruit's game.
The linebacker group was particularly strong with the presence of Williams, Lazarus and other top prospects. Dwight Williams proved why he's one of the most sought after linebacker prospects in the nation and displayed great agility in each of the bag drills.
Michael Lazarus was also impressive in the agility drills with the linebacker group. With quick feet for his 6'3" 220 frame, Lazarus was able to change direction quickly and showed an ability to explode in and out of cuts.
The defensive back group was also strong with Adoree' Jackson, JuJu Smith, Iman Marshall (DB/2015, LB Poly) and Denzel Fisher (DB/2014, Compton Centennial).
Following warmups and individuals the defensive backs, receivers and tight ends lined up for 1on1's.
JuJu Smith made a few great plays during the 1on1 period and came down with two interceptions while blanketing receivers throughout the session.
Today was a chance to see future Boise State quarterback Jalen Greene (QB/2014, Serra) alongside recent Broncos 2014 WR commit Shay Fields (Bosco). Fields is a rangy wide receiver who maintains speed throughout his breaks and has excellent hands.
Another top recruit from the West in attendance was Jordan Lasley (WR/2014) who recently committed to UCLA and he was obviously excited to be on campus.
"The field's great, the facilities are cool, I just love UCLA," Lasley told CLA. "Coach Yarber, he's a great coach… All my teammates are real happy for me, it's cool," he said.
A number of Serra HS (CA) recruits are participating in this year's B2G Elite Camp, including: Adoree' Jackson, Dwight Williams, Jalen Greene, Glen Ihenacho, Jordan Lasley, Olajuwon Tucker and Brandon Burton.
