Nationally ranked Narbonne High School has a true leader in senior quarterback Troy Williams (QB/2013). Williams led the Gauchos to a 22-9 victory in a battle of unbeaten squads versus Gardena Serra HS. CLA caught up with Williams on the field immediately following the Narbonne win in this video interview.
Williams hit Jon'tae Robeson (WR/2015) with a touchdown strike in the first quarter to open up the game. The TD pass came on a perfectly thrown ball that floated over several defenders and into the receiver's hands at the back of the endzone.
Throws like this, along with Troy Willams' poise in the pocket prompted several top NCAA college football programs to offer the Narbonne senior. Williams has verbally committed to play for Head Coach Steve Sarkisian and the Washington Huskies. Sarkisian made the trip from the Northwest and paced the sidelines on Friday night in Gardena. Coach Sark was undoubtedly impressed by his prize Socal recruit.
Although Narbonne's QB reaffirmed his commitment to the Huskies, Williams stock is rising and he currently holds offers from the likes of Florida, UCLA, Georgia Tech, Mississippi, Nevada, Arizona and several other schools.
