Check out these photos on College Level Athletes that feature the Mater Dei Monarchs vs. Bullard Knights in the 2012 CIF Southern Regional Division I Boys Basketball Championship. Mater Dei won 85-66 over Bullard, and Monarchs' senior Xavier Johnson (Colorado) dominated again. If Mater Dei ends up winning the California State Title, look for Xavier to take home Tournament MVP honors.

Stanley Johnson and Katin Reinhardt also dealt in solid performances for Mater Dei in the win, however, it was Bullard's 6'6" Aaric Armstead who dropped buckets and lit up the stat sheet with 33 points to lead all scorers. Mater Dei moves on to face Sheldon (Sacramento) for the CIF State Championship at Arco Arena on March 24th.

Bullard's fans were energized throughout the evening and you could feel the emotion in the crowd that had carried over from Walter Orr's game-winning shot on Tuesday that helped the Knights advance over Nationally-ranked Long Beach Poly. The fans helped keep their team in the game, and a packed and rowdy Bullard student section cheered on the Knights for the entire game.
