The Alemany Warriors took care of business Wednesday night with an impressive 65-36 road victory over the St. Francis Knights in the Mission League opener.
The Warriors jumped out to an early lead and controlled the game thanks to the outstanding play of their backcourt, featuring dual-sport senior captain Brandon Boyd and lightning quick sophomore Shac Dawkins.
The Alemany squad is loaded with ballers at every position. Sophomore big man Daron Henson was a force on the interior and knocked down several mid-range jumpers.
The St. John Bosco Braves defeated the Alemany Warriors 56-14 Friday night in Mission Hills to advance to the CIFSS Pac-5 Championship game.
The undefeated Braves were led by the stellar play of senior Jaleel Wadood, who stepped up for Bosco with two touchdowns and two interceptions on the night.
St. John Bosco took the early 7-0 lead on a sweet touchdown strike from junior Josh Rosen to Wadood.

The Alemany Warriors topped the St. Bonaventure Seraphs 38-24 Friday night at home to remain undefeated.
The Warriors took the early lead with a 15-yard touchdown run by junior Dominic Davis. After an interception by junior Blake Green, quarterback Alif Grayes hit Davis on a screen that went the distance and increased the Alemany advantage to 14-0.

The Castro Valley Trojans will head to Oakley, CA to take on the Freedom Falcons in a battle of 1-3 teams.
The high school football season is in full swing and we've covered our fair share of games thus far. Over the first four weeks of the year we've watched Serra, Corona Centennial, Crenshaw, Dorsey, Alemany, Long Beach Poly, Oceanside, Notre Dame and many other teams battle it out on the gridiron.

The weather conditions at Veteran's Stadium in Clovis, CA were ideal for day one of the 2013 CIF State Track & Field Championships. Top athletes from throughout California put their abilities to the test in front of a packed house that included several spectators who watched from the grass area beyond the scoreboard.
Game 7 at the MLK Day Showdown featured the Gardena Serra Cavaliers against the Alemany Warriors.
Alemany enters the contest with a 13-6 record while Serra comes in 16-4. Both teams came out fast and on fire from long range. For Serra, guard Ajon Efferson knocked down a couple jumpers but Alemany responded with jumpers from sophomore Bennie Boatwright and freshman Shacquille Dawkins.
After the first quarter, Alemany led 24-19.
Boatwright hit four three-pointers in the first half to spark the Warriors.
Over the course of the season at CLA, we have seen our fair share of high school football in the Los Angeles region. After watching countless hours of HS football during camps, 7on7 over the summer and during the season on the sidelines we have come up with our 2012 CLA Fantasy Teams. These are the players who we've interviewed, watched up close and personal and studied film on throughout the year.
