Joe Mixon has been on a recruiting roller coaster this season. After a breakout year for Freedom as a junior, Mixon's performance at the U.S. Army All-American combine launched him into the national spotlight. Today, Joe Mixon announced his final four schools.

In a surprise move, Mixon named the Cal Bears to his list of top programs. Cal Berkeley was Mixon's first official visit and RB Coach Pierre Ingram has been recruiting Mixon for a very long time now.

In no particular order, Mixon named Cal, UCLA, Oklahoma and Wisconsin as his top four choices this morning.

The St. John Bosco Braves defeated the Alemany Warriors 56-14 Friday night in Mission Hills to advance to the CIFSS Pac-5 Championship game.

The undefeated Braves were led by the stellar play of senior Jaleel Wadood, who stepped up for Bosco with two touchdowns and two interceptions on the night.

St. John Bosco took the early 7-0 lead on a sweet touchdown strike from junior Josh Rosen to Wadood.

JSerra Catholic senior Dante Pettis is one of the most dynamic athletes we've watched this high school football season. Pettis is the cousin of former Boise State Broncos WR Austin and is the son of current Texas Rangers coach and former MLB Gold Glove winner Gary.

To say athleticism is in Pettis' blood would be an understatement.

Boise State became Dante's fifth official scholarship offer today and the Broncos are undoubtedly in his top list of schools.

Valencia Vikings senior playmaker Nick Jones landed his first scholarship offer from Chadron State recently. The Division II program produced NFL running back Danny Woodhead and is located in Nebraska.

Jones has established himself as one of the most productive receivers in Southern California this season, hauling in 46 catches for 1,126 yards and 15 touchdowns. Jones has a knack for making plays in big games.

Class of 2015 Freedom offensive lineman Dominic Fredrickson has landed a scholarship offer from the UCLA Bruins. The 6'3 300 bruiser paved the way for superstar running back and Army All-American Joe Mixon to run wild this season for the Falcons. Fredrickson imposes his will on the opponent and plays with a mean streak.

The St. Bonaventure Seraphs of Ventura rolled into Sherman Oaks and defeated the Notre Dame Golden Knights 35-21 to advance to the Pac-5 quarterfinals Friday night.

The Seraphs jumped out to an early lead on a 30-yard touchdown strike from junior quarterback Ricky Town to senior playmaker Bryce Dixon. The St. Bonnie defense, led by the stellar play of seniors Davonte Nunnery and Zachary Hamrick, bottled up the Notre Dame offense in the first quarter.

Class of 2017 Glenwood Springs (CO) dual-threat quarterback Dante Sparaco has been balling out for the Demons this season. The 6'3 215 gun-slinger dominated the JV competition, amassing over 2,000 all-purpose yards and 22 touchdowns in six games.

Since making the jump to Varsity, Sparaco has excelled on the defensive side of the ball, racking up 75 total tackles (40 solo) and seven sacks, which ranks among the best in Colorado. Sparaco's athletic ability has been utilized on offense, as the quarterback is averaging 9 yards per carry with four rushing touchdowns in four games.

Westlake sophomore star quarterback Malik Henry led the Warriors to a thrilling 39-36 victory over Oaks Christian to capture the Marmonte League Championship Friday night.

The gunslinger threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns on the night. Trailing 36-32, the Warriors Chase Jasmin blocked the Oaks punt and Lexi Isham scooped up the ball and returned it for the game-winning touchdown, sending the Westlake faithful into a frenzy.

Class of 2015 Vista Murrieta receiver Colin Baker has been balling out for the Broncos this season, hauling in 23 catches for 429 yards and five touchdowns.

After a breakout sophomore campaign that produced 23 catches for 436 yards and seven touchdowns, college coaches and recruiters took notice of Baker's premium skill set and playmaking prowess.

The San Diego State Aztecs became the first of many to offer Baker a scholarship. CLA had the opportunity to touch base with Baker to get his thoughts on the SDSU offer and the recruiting process.
