Mater Dei Holds on 24-21 vs Bishop Amat

Mater Dei held on to win 24-21 after an early battle turned into a game of turnovers. Several players stood out for Mater Dei including: RB Brandon LaMarche (3 TD), senior WR Andre Collins, junior QB Matthew McDonald, offensive linemen Frank Martin (USC commit) and newcomer Tommy Brown (2018, 6'7 315).

Junior DL Chris Green was a force along with defensive backs Jalen Cole, Quentin Lake and Roman Kafentzis.

If you haven't heard of 2015 CB Shaun Crawford out of Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward yet, you're going to in the near future. The 5'9", 165 lbs. athlete has been picking up quite a lot of interest lately and boasts offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Florida St., Illinois, Iowa, Miami (Fl.), Michigan St., Northwestern, Penn State, Tennessee and his two latest from Michigan and West Virginia.

Crawford has a lot of schools that like him and some that he really likes, but he's enjoying the process and waiting on another offer still. "It's pretty cool. Just waiting on the Trojans."

As a child, X'avier Shepherd was a far cry from being thought of as a future NCAA football player. Shepherd was literally afraid to put the pads on. Today, the Lakewood High School senior has a fan base in Utah that has been growing for the past several years, and he has now officially signed a National Letter of Intent to play football for the Utes in 2013.

CLA asked Bailey if he felt like he would be able to contribute early in his career at USC, and without hesitation, Dion outperformed all expectations after being named Pac-12 Defensive Freshmen of the Year in 2011.
