Diamond Ranch HS defensive end Josh Buchholz (DE/2014) will be on many college recruiting lists next season. Buchholz stands 6'4" 250 and displays the type of athleticism that college coaches desire.

Arizona State has already started to show interest in Buchholz. "A lot of interest from ASU. They said I play like the d-end that they're looking for and to just keep up what I'm doing and they will have no problem taking me," the junior Buchholz told CLA Sports today.

Running back Joe Mixon of Freedom High School (Calif.) has been one of the hottest names recently and for good reason. The 2014 graduate took to the Army All-American combine over the weekend and impressed everyone that saw him.

Measuring at 6-foot-1 and 201 lbs., Mixon ran a 4.68 40-yard dash and jumped 33 inches on his vertical. His performance paid off as he received another offer, this time from Utah.

The best high school football athletes were on display at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. The game was played at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. Many of the recruits in the game have yet to declare their college choice and this game helped them gain exposure to college coaches and scouts.

Televised live on the NFL Network the Semper Fi All-American Bowl was a battle of defenses. With little time to prepare and develop offensive chemistry, both teams struggled to move the ball consistently.

It's different being a champion. It's a fraternity that can only be shared by those who have hoisted that glorious trophy. Last Saturday night at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA, it was Gardena Serra junior Adoree' Jackson who took home the title of CIF State Champion for the second time in 2012.

As a sophomore earlier this year, Adoree' won the CIF State Boys Long Jump title with a jump of 25' 1/2" and the closest jump didn't even clear 24 feet.

It's been a great season for senior offensive lineman Emerald Faletuipapai from Gardena Serra High School in California. After anchoring an o-line that paved the way to a 2012 CIF State Championship victory, Faletuipapai decided to take advantage of his scholarship offer from University of Houston that he received last week.

"I called Coach Levine and he didn't answer, so I called the tight ends coach Jamie Christian and told him. He told me to call the Head Coach again because he missed my call and I made my commitment to him (Coach Levine)," Emerald told CLA Sports today.
