The Muir Mustangs rolled to a 35-3 victory over the Hoover Tornadoes at Moyse Field Thursday night in the Pacific League opener.

The Mustangs jumped out to an early lead with a 47-yard touchdown run by dual-threat senior quarterback Dejon Williams. The extra point attempt was blocked. Muir added another touchdown run to lead 13-0 after a quarter.

The Mustang D was led by the stellar play of seniors Jasper Iheaso, Ricky Crowder and Tony Claxton. Hoover was unable to mount much of an attack and trailed 13-0 at halftime.

Now that signing day has passed, the majority of recruits have made their decisions. As always, the state of California produced a horde of talent for the big schools to court.
